Day 7 of Cairo International Jazz Festival brings together;
Sanem KalfaQuartet: TELEVIZYON (NL) - 8:00 PM, Wisdom Hall – Televizyon, led by Dutch-based Turkish vocalist and composer Sanem Kalfa, revives the nostalgia of 1980s Turkish TV commercials through sound, blending pop, electronic elements, and improvisation. Their music invites listeners on an energetic journey across genres, where recognition meets surprise.
Jamila & The Other Heroes (Palestine/Egypt/Germany) - 9:30 PM, Wisdom Hall – Jamila Al-Yousef leads this Berlin-based collective with a vision rooted in diasporic tales of resistance, empowerment, and healing. Their sound features psychedelic desert rock, Arab percussion, rock & Afrobeat rhythms, and lyrics in Arabic and English. They champion community, identity, and musical freedom.
